On September 8 and 9, Spanish Fork’s very own Shaun Barrowes along with a group of talented students came together for an important cause. To keep arts programs running in high schools everywhere, a benefit concert was held at Maple Mountain High School.  Maple Mountain is the first of many concerts throughout the nation to support his cause, Live for Music.

Shaun Barrowes opened the show with his band followed by the Golden Eagles Jazz band. Following the jazz band, the talented Chamber Singers sang two songs and were accompanied by several soloists including Karina Segura, Aubrey Schuring, and Alex Murillo.  After that our dance company performed with beautiful choreography.  Sharika’s song “waka waka” was performed by the drill team.

Shaun’s performance was simply spectacular and filled the entire auditorium.  He will continue his tour of high schools for the next eight months; and, hopefully his message will be heard.
