NOTICE FOR ALL MMHS PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

2020-2021 MMHS School Community Council Elections for Parents
When: August 11 - 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Ballot located in front office of MMHS
Who: Parent/guardian of registered MMHS students
What: Election for parent/guardian members to serve on School Community Council for the current school year

Are you interested in serving on School Community Council?
Any parent/guardian interested in serving on the School Community Council for this school year should contact Mike Larsen (SCC Facilitator) at mikevance.larsen [at] nebo.edu by the end of the day on Friday, August 7 in order to be on the ballot. There are three (3) parent/guardian member positions open. Council members are expected to attend monthly meetings every third Tuesday of the month from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. while school is in session and serve for two school years if possible. There will also be two district-wide training meetings for new members. 

What does the School Community Council do?
The purpose of the Council is to assist school leaders in creating school improvement plans and goals in order to address academic needs; provide a tie between the students, parents, and community to improve school culture; advise on issues influencing the school; and make recommendations regarding School LAND Trust funding and the Teacher and Student Success Plan (TSSA). The council consists of parents, faculty members and school administration.
