On April 12, the Maple Mountain Lady Golden Eagles softball played the Spanish Fork Dons. Spanish Fork won by 1 point, 13-14.  On April 19, Maple Mountain played Springville.  Springville won by 1 point,

4-5. Both the Spanish Fork and Springville games were very close, the opponent teams won only by a fraction of a second.   On April 22, the Lady Golden Eagles played the Salem Hills Skyhawks.  Salem Hills won by 9 points, 1-10.

This year the team has improved immensely. “This year we have a lot more maturity on our team and are able to build off our past experiences.  In a region where each team is incredible, we are excelling and playing right with them,” said Head Varsity Coach Cassie Lewis.

“Currently, the softball team is working on coming out strong and winning every inning; so far they have been doing really well at that,” said Lewis

Varsity coach Ms. Cassie Lewis has played softball since she was three. She played at Spanish Fork High all four years and then played at Snow College for one year and then coached at Spanish Fork High for five years.  She has been teaching Human Anatomy at Maple Mountain High and has been coaching as well for the past two years.
