Golden Eagle Parents and Students,

Nebo District and the County Board of Health have determined that, because of increased COVID-19 case counts at Maple Mountain High School and in our community, MMHS will be moving to an “Alternating Day Schedule” for two (2) weeks beginning on Monday, November 16. We hope to return to our regular school schedule on Monday, November 30. Please know that no one group has caused our case counts to rise, but a result of rising cases statewide.

The “Alternating Day Schedule” will be in place through the Thanksgiving holiday (returning to school on Monday, November 30), with the hope that we’ll be able to reduce the case counts and have all students return to full “At-School Learning.” General details about the “Alternating Day Schedule” can be found at www.nebo.edu/coronavirus or on our school website. Specific questions can be answered by calling us at the school.

Assigned days for students:

  • Mon Nov 16 B-Day for students with last names from L-Z

  • Tues Nov 17 A-Day for students with the last name from A-K

  • Wed Nov 18  No School

  • Thurs Nov 19 A-Day for students with last name L-Z

  • Fri Nov 20 B-Day for students with last name A-K

  • Mon Nov 23 A-Day for students with last name A-K

  • Tues Nov 24 B-Day for students with last name L-Z

Students with classes at ALC and MTECH will attend all of their classes as regularly scheduled. Students will not be allowed to be in the building on the days they are not assigned to be here.

Students will NOT attend school on Friday, November 13 in order to give teachers the opportunity to prepare for the adjusted schedule.

Almost all of the COVID-19 cases that we are having at school are due to social interactions that occur outside of school. Therefore, we continue to ask everyone to follow COVID-19 safety protocols in all of your own personal decisions. All extracurricular activities (except state playoffs) are still postponed through November 23. After that day, these activities will resume with increased protocols.

We will keep you notified of our progress towards returning all of our students back full-time “At-School Learning.” As always, we are grateful for your support and positivity during these unstable times.

With sincere gratitude,

Shea Bradshaw

Principal
