Sports this year has been a challenge unlike any other year. With Covid 19 sweeping through the country, the Maple Mountain Golf Team and its head coach, Johnny Averett, has undoubtedly faced difficulty and limited freedom with practice and tournaments. However, through all this negativity the members of the golf team don't even mention that covid has messed anything up. This is partly because golf is already pretty socially distanced, and also because the team is either super focused on the sport or just really resilient people.

According to Mike Bennett the biggest challenge has been the short game. “Putting has been the biggest challenge,” he said. Putting is the hardest part of golf, and it takes days of countless practice hours putting the ball into the hole to shave strokes.

When asked what the best part about the season so far, Zac Walker said, “Golfing with the boys.” He also said that three putts were the biggest challenge so far. We can clearly see that the golf team has been really strong and kept positive.
