There were many ups and downs during last Friday’s football game against North Sanpete. The team was pretty confident that it would be their first win. During the first half of the game, North Sanpete pulled ahead with a score of 7-21. North Sanpete was expecting an easy win, but Maple Mountain put up a tough fight in the second half. KJ Hall scored early in the third quarter, then later in the game scored two touchdowns back to back.  Hall was given the ball again at the end of the game pushing for the game-winning touchdown; but, unfortunately, got slammed by North Sanpete’s defensive line, ending the game with a close score of 27-28.

Assistant Coach Roberts commented, “It was a close game, a one point game, and the boys played with a lot of heart. They had a very good comeback and played well in the second half of the game. It was a tough loss.”
