Our very own Maple Mountain Dance Company was one of three high school dance companies in the state of Utah that were invited to perform with the Snow College Dance Ensemble and Juilliard graduates in the annual “Dance 3 Concert.”  This performance celebrates the three levels of dance education--high school, college, and professional dance.

The morning of Wednesday, March 2, the members of MMDC were privileged to attend master classes/dance workshops in hip hop and modern dance taught by Snow College professors and Juilliard graduates. After students had attended these workshops, they had a chance to go on a tour of Snow College. MMDC members then rehearsed on stage for their performance in the Theatre on Snow College campus that evening.

The Maple Mountain Dance Company performed the dances “The Chain” choreographed by Alex Murillo and “Light of the Day” choreographed by Katie Tanner. They did an excellent job performing that night and had an enjoyable day at Snow College. Good job MMDC. Way to represent our school!
