Justin Slavens -- MMHS Prep of the Week

Justin Slavens, a senior at Maple Mountain High School, was chosen as Prep of the Week because of his efforts as a strong team player and motivator on the Maple Mountain basketball team.

Slavens position as guard was crucial in the win against Juab, in which he had 4 points, 1 three point shot, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist.  Slavens has been playing basketball since he was five years old and has always enjoyed it.

Besides basketball Slavens is enthusiastic about football and would like to pursue the sport at Brigham Young University; he would also like to obtain a degree as an orthopedic surgeon.
