Golden Eagles Sub-for-Santa

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

This year is Maple Mountain’s first year to host a Sub-for-Santa fundraiser.  The fundraiser was sponsored by all the service clubs and student council. This includes National Honor Society, PTSA, and Key club. The goal was to raise $5,000 to help out families in our schools and surrounding community this holiday season. We surpassed our goal by raising $5,044.50 with the help of a parent who made a generous donation of a little more than $2,000.

As a result, our teachers and administrators will be participating in dares in front of the school at a fun assembly in January. Mr. Porter and Ms. Swenson will be dressing up as super heroes, Mr. Henry, Mrs. Griffen, and Officer Jones will get a pie to the face.  Mr. Barrett, Coach Wyatt, and Mr. Miner will perform “I’m a Little Tea Pot” in tutus.  The counselors and lunch ladies will participate in a relay race; lastly, our administration will have the honor to kiss a pig.

Along with the dares, the top two contributing classes, which are Mr. Marvin and Mr. Barrett, will be awarded with delicious donuts. This has been a great opportunity to help and serve others in need this season, as well as have some fun. Maple Mountain hopes to do even better next year.  Thank you to all who contributed, your donations are greatly appreciated.
