Maple Mountain’s baseball team is coached by Gary Miner.  Coach Miner graduated high school in 1983 and then completed a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1991.  Coach Miner played college baseball for BYU.  Between 1999 and 2004 he added masters’ degrees to his resume in both public administration and education.  He began coaching at the high school level immediately following his baseball playing days at BYU (1990).  After graduation, he began teaching U.S. History and Government and coaching baseball and football at Orem High School.  He moved to Maple Mountain High in 2009 and loves being a part of the Golden Eagles program. Coach Miner currently lives in Mapleton with his wife Sandi and six children.

“I like baseball because it is an individual team sport put into a team concept,” said Miner.
