On Thursday September 9, The Maple Mountain Girls tennis team, once again, won 5-0!  The Lady Golden Eagles matched off with their rivals Spanish Fork.   As to date, the Maple Mountain Girls Tennis team has dominated every match they have played and are poised to take the region championship.

First singles Calley Bankhead played a tough opponent, but came out with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win.  Second singles Anna Cronquist played flawless the entire match and won 6-1, 6-1.  Playing third singles was Spencer Rose, she was on track the entire match winning 6-2, 6-1.

In addition, doubles didn’t disappoint; they played awesome.  Adding to their undefeated records, the first doubles team of Hailey Harlan and Kelsey Lewis won 6-4, 6-4.  Second doubles were victorious as well, Jamie Lundberg and Hailey Roney winning 6-3, 6-4.

After the match Harlan added, “Iplayed very well today; I hit lots of overhead smashes, and also got smashed in the leg with the ball, but so far our team has done well and we’re glad there are lots of new girls to continue on the tradition of Maple Mountain tennis domination.  Our hope is to take region and division titles.
