Maple Mountain FFA gave a Gift of Love to the 2012 Festival of Trees. The Festival of Trees is an event where business, individuals, and groups donate trees, wreaths, quilts, and other items. The items are then auctioned off to the highest bidder. One-hundred percent of funds raised at the Festival of Trees benefits children cared for at Primary Children’s Medical Center. As the only full-service children’s hospital in the Intermountain West, Primary Children’s Medical Center offers cutting-edge treatment in over sixty subspecialties, from diabetes to Down syndrome, and asthma to orthopedics.

The FFA raised money through the Sweetheart's Cake Auction to be able to give their donation. A tree was donated with the theme of "Owl Be Home for Christmas." Students in the FFA Student Club as well as the FFA Organization helped to create ornaments and decorations for the tree. They helped create a tree skirt and warpped gifts for around the tree. The FFA Officers went to the South Towne Expo Center on November 26 and decorated the tree. It was auctioned off the next day and sold to an anonymous donor.
