This week’s Maple Mountain Prep of the Week is girls tennis star Calley Bankhead. Calley plays First Varsity Singles for our girl’s tennis team. This season she has dominated every opponent she has played, to back up her 10-0 Region record.
Calley started playing tennis at eight years old and hasn’t stopped since. Other than playing high school tennis, she plays USTA tennis tournaments throughout Utah. Her favorite tennis player is Roger Federer. She likes tennis because it’s different than other sports. Calley’s goal for the season is to go to state and take all. When asked what the best part of being on the tennis team is, Calley replied, “Awesome team parties.” Congratulations, Calley, for being chosen as MMHS Prep of the Week.
