Amber Ray
What is your favorite quote and why?
“Triumph is just ‘umph’ added to ‘try.’” It means that I need to just keep working hard. I also like, “Nothing is impossible; the word itself says ‘I’m possible.’” I like it because it is cool.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I see myself in college at BYU Idaho or at least in a good college.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Soccer, basketball, sewing, ATV riding, piano, horse riding, singing, reading.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
When I was little, I was doing tricks in front of my family. I started to do a trick and then messed up and landed on my head. It was the funniest thing.

What make you different from everyone else?
Nothing really. I am just another normal high school girl. I do try to help everyone, because it makes me happy. “When you bring sunshine to the lives of others, you cannot keep it from yourself.”

If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?
I honestly have no clue who I would ask and what I would ask.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
I love choir because I love to sing, but a real subject I like would have no be reading, not English. I love to read! It would be a wonderful class period.

What is your favorite quote and why?
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without the loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill. I like this quote because it helps me never give up.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I want to be going to college to become either an astrophysicist or a radiologist.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I like to run hurdles, play football, and play videogames with my friends.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
The funniest thing to ever happen to me is everything! You should laugh everyday, and therefore everything should be the funniest thing.

What make you different from everyone else?
I’m not sure, I mean, I just kind of do my own thing, I try to make everyone’s day better, happier, and easier.

If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?
I would definitely want to talk to Abraham Lincoln. I would ask him what made his so cool. What gave him all the ideas that he had?

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
My favorite subject in school is chemistry because it keeps me interested.

Sydney Stephenson
What is your favorite quote and why?
“The only reason for the time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.” - Albert Einstein. Because time is just weird and this helps me understand time.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I will probably still be in college so I see myself going to more school.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I like playing all sports, but the sport I play competitively is soccer.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
One time I hit myself with my friend’s car. I had a huge bruise on my leg that I showed everyone, but it was crazy and my friend and I could not stop laughing.

What make you different from everyone else?
I avoid drama and try to live a happy life by staying out of drama as best I can!

If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?
Robin Williams and I would tell him to be happy so he wouldn’t have died.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
Math is my favorite subject because for some reason math has always come very easy to me, and I like being able to help my friends in math.

Brian Carter
What is your favorite quote and why?
“We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities life would be violent, and all would be lost.” - Charlie Chaplin

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I see myself in college, most likely hanging out with my brothers.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I love to be around people, writing short stories, and especially love absorbing myself into a book, or even a game.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
Everything at my home is always the funniest. It is like a sarcastic parade of Disney quotes, and it keeps things fun.

What make you different from everyone else?
Nothing. I am like you. I am like everybody else. Each of us is amazing, and special beyond compare. We should never forget this.

If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?
Nikola Tesla, and ask about what motivated him.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
English is my favorite subject, but only when we are focused on creative writing, stories, and poetry. I hate a lot of the literature stuff we get to repeat year after year.

Tasha Jackson
What is your favorite quote and why?
“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.” - William Ernest Henley. I believe that I control my attitude and what I become in life. It is my responsibility to become great and influence the world.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I see myself finishing up college at BYU as a very active member of the community.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I love to play the violin. I am currently in three auditioned orchestras, have played in parades, and have performed with many guest artists like the Piano Guys, Jackie Evancho, and Nathan Pacheco. I also compete in dressage, an intense equestrian sport.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
On a trip to Asia, I was hugged and kissed by two elephants. Their trunks covered my entire face. It was one of the coolest moments of my life.

What make you different from everyone else?
I have a constant happy attitude and do my best to live life to the fullest. I seek out new opportunities and have consequently had some really cool experiences.

If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?
I would go back and talk to my great grandfather. He seems like a very cool person with a lot of amazing stories.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
I absolutely love every class that I am taking. AP Physics is a lot of fun. I enjoy predicting motion and results and seeing it happen. My other favorite class is AP Literature and Composition.

Dallin McKinney
What is your favorite quote and why?
“It is better to be a first-rate version of yourself than a second-rate version of someone else.”

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
A returned missionary, playing, writing, and recording my original music, singing out true emotions of the world.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Writing songs, playing piano, guitar, and ukulele, singing, running, and swinging.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
My little brother was born… made my life a whole lot funnier.

What make you different from everyone else?
I am listening.

If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?
Abraham Lincoln, I would ask him what he was doing in the last weeks of his life.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
Choir, because it gives me that most memories and the most growth.
