Brigette Smith Crowned MMHS Sweetheart 2010

Maple Mountain High held their first annual FFA Sweethearts Week culminating with an assembly on Friday, February 12, and a dance on February 13 in which Bridgett Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Smith, was crowned 2010 Sweetheart with 1st attendant Jessika Hilton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hilton, and 2nd attendant Katelyn Jacobson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Sonic Drive-In MMHS Prep of the Week -- Halie Bingham

Halie Bingham, senior and President of the Ellevès Drill Team, has been selected as Maple Mountain High School’s Prep of the Week. Halie is a 4.0 student and has been awarded Academic All State by the Utah High School Athletic Association. Recently, Halie won 1st place in the State 4A Drill Down. Halie has been dancing for 15 years and her favorite type of dance is lyrical.   She inspires other students by saying, “It’s important to work hard all the time and keep your goals in mind.” Congratulations, Halie!

MMHS Announces Academic All State Awards

MMHS ELLEVÉS PLACE 4TH AT STATE DRILL COMPETITION

On Friday, January 29, 2010, the MMHS Ellevés competed in their first ever State 4A Drill Team Competition held at UVU. The Ellevés placed 5th in the Military category, 4th in the Dance category, and 4th in the kick category. Overall, the Ellevés were the 4th place team. There were 15 4A schools competing in each category.

Golden Eagles Fight Tough against Red Devils

Last Friday, January 29, the Springville Red Devils hosted the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles. The Red Devil’s Raul Delgado led the way with a game-high 23 points to down the Golden Eagles 77-44.    In spite of the loss, Maple Mountain’s Cameron Starr had a big night with 19 pts and a 3-point shot.

Lady Golden Eagles Fall to Undefeated Red Devils

The Red Devils remain perfect after bringing down the Golden Eagles Friday, January 29, at Springville’s home court. Sadie Clements, senior, led the Lady Red Devils as she put down a game-high 22 points, 12 of which came from 3-pt shots. 

Maple Mountain’s Kasandra Paprocki, sophomore, individually scored 11 points for the Lady Golden Eagles including a 3-point shot.   Come support our girls’ basketball team at their next home game on Tuesday, February 16, at 5:15 pm.

MMHS DECA Students Compete at UVU

On Friday, January 29, eight students from Maple Mountain High School competed in various DECA--A Marketing Club--competitive events at Utah Valley University.   Allison Fernandez received first place for highest test score in Hospitality Management. Jessika Hilton, Chapter President, received two first place awards—Restaurant and Food Service Individual Role Play Event and highest test score in Restaurant and Food Service.    Shirley Luo competed in Accounting Applications, Raquel Jones competed in Apparel and Accessories, Allison Fernandez and Dallan Brindley compete
