Maple Mountain High School would like to thank Andrew Lott and Eldon VanOrman for representing our school so well at DECA Nationals in Orlando Florida. Andrew competed in the Automotive Series and Eldon competed in the Accounting Series. Both performed very well. If you see those students, congratulate them for their time and effort in the DECA program.
We are excited to announce that two Maple Mountain photography students, Andy Randquist and Sydney Barney, are finalists for the Fifth Annual Concurrent Enrollment Student Art Show! UVU had over 130 entries this year, and the jurors had a difficult time narrowing down the finalists. It is exciting to see the creative talent of our students. The show will run May 6-14 at UVU Fulton Library 3rd Floor Gallery, and we would like to extend the invite to you to visit the gallery! Gallery hours are: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 9:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm – 9:00pm.
44 students went to the BYU German Language Fair last week and did so well! At the language fair, students from all over the state get to compete against each other in different categories. All categories require students to show great understanding of the German language and culture. No other school in the state won in as many categories as we did. Please congratulate these students on their amazing achievements!
Congratulations to our very own, MMHS Welding Teacher, Jared Massic!
Karen Huntsman’s presented Mr. Massic with the Huntsman Award last week in his 3rd period class. Mr. Massic has built an amazing program for our students. He is a hard worker and willing to do all the extra stuff to make his program better and support student achievement!
It was awesome to watch Mr. Massic, his family, and his students as we all listed to Mrs. Huntman explain the award.
