Brian Bess has been selected as a Maple Mountain High School "Prep Athlete of the Week" for his outstanding play this season as a forward on the soccer team.  Brian has scored 10 goals and 18 assists this season.  His assist total leads the 5A ranks.  Brian has been a huge factor in leading the soccer team to the semifinals of the state soccer tournament.  Brian was also an outstanding member of the football team as a wide receiver.  Brian is also solid in the classroom compiling a 3.98 cumulative grade point average over the pa

CHICAGO (May 10, 2016) — In its 31st year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade
Company, in collaboration with USA TODAY High School Sports, today announced Aidan Dayton of Maple Mountain
High School as its 2015-16 Gatorade Utah Boys Soccer Player of the Year. Dayton is the first Gatorade Utah Boys
Soccer Player of the Year to be chosen from Maple Mountain High School.

The Golden Eagles are perfect in Region 8 this season with just two matches remaining, and this junior is a big reason why.

The forward has scored 12 goals and handed 17 assists this season, and was instrumental in a pair of easy wins over Salem Hills and Springville last week.

Spencer Young has been selected as this week's "Prep of the Week." Spencer is the goal keeper for our boys soccer team. Spencer's efforts in the net has helped the soccer team remain undefeated so far in region 8 play. Spencer is also ranked #2 in the state with four shut out games so far. Congratulations Spencer and good luck to you and your team for the rest of the year.

Facundo Curi has been selected as a prep of the week representing the boys soccer team. Facundo is the leading scorer on the undefeated soccer team. His play has helped the Golden Eagles achieve a state number 2 ranking while also being near the top of the region soccer standings. Congratulations Facundo, and good luck the rest of the season!
