“Every day is a cool experience,” said Camille Swan, an intern at Family Pet Hospital and The Rocky Mountain Large Animal Clinic where she observes and job shadows veterinary technicians. She has become interested in this line of work because she loves animals and is curious about the medical aspect of the work, especially surgeries. 

As part of her internship, Camille observes and lends a hand to the veterinary technicians at both sites. She restrains animals and also assists the doctors throughout the surgeries. She enjoys observing these surgeries very much. 

Senior Sunset was held last Friday, May 7. Many seniors attended and enjoyed this evening reminiscing over the past year and looking forward to graduation in just a few short weeks.

This week’s Maple Mountain Prep of the Week is softball star Tori Nielson.   She plays 3rd base for the varsity softball team.  As a junior she is one of the only upperclassmen to start varsity.   Tori considers herself as more of a power hitter; she hits 5th in the lineup.  

Tori says she likes softball because “it provides a challenge and is something she loves to do.”
