Julia Hart, a sophomore at Maple Mountain High School, has been in love with the fine arts for as long as she can remember. She finds inspiration in just about every art form there is, whether it’s acting, singing, drawing or animating.
She loves art so much that she doesn’t even have a favorite artist.
“I just love everything,” Hart said.
Maple Mountain High FCCLA was represented so well at the Region 4 FCCLA competition! 25 of our Golden Eagles attended, with 22 of them competing in various projects relating to Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Projects included Fashion Construction, Event Management, Hospitality, Chapter in Review, Baking and Pastry, Job Interview, and more!
Grace Poulsen has been selected as a "Prep Of The Week." Grace is a senior, three-year member of the drill team. She is the President/Captain this year. Grace recently made the 5A All State Drill Team. Each 5A drill team sent three girls to the auditions and then 21 girls made the final cut. Grace was also selected as a "Top Corp" winner at Epic Dance/Drill Camp this past summer. There are only 5 dancers selected from the camp. Congratulations Grace!
The Utah Shakespeare Festival Touring Company will be performing Romeo and Juliet Monday evening, March 16, 2020, 7 p.m. at Springville High School. This performance is free to the public. All ninth-graders are studying Romeo and Juliet in their English classes this year.

If you are concerned about your baby or toddler’s development or had a medical professional talk to you about some milestones your child hasn’t yet reached, you may be eligible for early intervention services. The purpose of Early Intervention is to enhance early growth and development in infants and toddlers under three, who have developmental delays or disabilities.
Katelyn Bailey has been selected as a "Prep of the Week" for her outstanding play this year as a member of the girls basketball team. Katelyn is a multi-talented player who, not only can score, but is also looked to for her defense, ball handling, and leadership on the team. The girls team sits in great shape with a top 7 statewide RPI ranking, and Katelyn is a big part of that. Katelyn has also been an outstanding member of the volleyball team, and she also excels in the classroom. Congratulations Katelyn, and good luck the rest of the way!
