Support the students of the MMHS Orchestra raise money for their Spring Tour!! Join us at the Chick-Fil-A in Spanish Fork anytime from 5-8 pm on Monday, Nov. 20th. We will receive 20% of all proceeds! Make it a family night, and just make sure they know you are there to support MMHS Orchestras. The money earned will be used for the sole purpose of lowering the cost of tour for the students, so please spread the word! Thank you always, for your support! Three members of the Maple Mountain High School Drill Team were named to the 5A All-State Drill Team. Tiffany Asay, daughter of Suzanne and Dwayne Asay; Hannah Finch, daughter of Kim and Matt Finch; and Annie Merrill, daughter of Melisa and Chris Merrill were chosen to represent Maple Mountain at the 5A All-State Drill Team Auditions.
Haley Green has been selected as a "Prep Athlete of the Week." Haley has been a standout leader for the Lady Golden Eagles volleyball team this year with averages of 16 kills, 18, digs, and 5 aces per game. Haley is also a 3 sport athlete (Volleyball, Basketball, and Track) who also excels in the classroom. Congratulations Haley and good luck the rest of your senior year!
On Friday, November 3rd, the MMHS Marching Band made history. The group competed in the Red Rocks State Marching Band Championships in St. George, Utah.
After a lot of hard work and challenging competition, the band finished their season in first place and they were declared the Utah state champions in the 2A division. This is the first time in the school's history that the band has placed at state let alone winning a state title. They were also awarded the Outstanding Visual Performance Caption.
The MMHS Fine Arts Department is gearing up for the performances of the Maple Mountain High School fall musical, Seussical. The show performs on November 10, 11, and 13 at 7 PM, with a 2 PM matinee on Saturrday, November 11 in the MMHS auditorium.
Based on the well-known works of Dr. Seuss, this musical tells the story of a young boy who doesn’t fit in so he uses his imagination to escape to places where he feels safe and “normal”.
