Region Festival For Our Choirs

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

Our 4 choirs recently performed at our Region Festival and did very well! Chamber Singers, Men's Chorus, Concert Choir, and Sorelle Voce ALL received straight superior ratings (which is the highest ratings you can get)! These kids are awesome and they have worked extremely hard. They'll all be going to State this coming May. Please tell them congrats.

Region Festival for MMHS Choirs

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

Recently our Chamber Singers, Sorelle Voce, Concert Choir, and Men's Chorus participated in the Region festival and ALL of them received straight superior ratings and will be going to State! The students worked incredibly hard and did a fantastic job! We couldn't be successful if it wasn't for our administration, custodial staff, and our teachers. Thanks for all of your support in making this program what it is! We really do appreciate every bit of your efforts.

Zupas Supports MMHS Choirs

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

For all of you people that like Zupas, make sure to show up TONIGHT to support MMHS Choirs! If you show up at the SF Zupas from 5-9 PM, the proceeds will go to benefit our choir program! Just simply tell the worker at the register that you are there with MMHS Choirs and that'll do the trick. Feel free to tell everyone around you in the line to say the same thing too. ;) Anyway, if you are able and would like to, please go!

Superior Ratings at State Choral Festival

Submitted by tyler.lewis on
The UMEA State Choral Festival was held last Friday-Saturday, May 15-16 in the stunning Libby Gardner Concert Hall at the University of Utah.  High School choirs from throughout the State of Utah who qualified at the region level were invited to perform their festival repertoire for a panel of adjudicators.  The Maple Mountain Concert Choir, Sorelle Voce, and Men's Chorus all earned straight superior ratings at the State festival, and garnered some pretty substantial complimentary feedback from the clinicians.  We congratulate our choral students, and appreciate your support!&nb

Sorelle Voce wins "Command Performance Award" at BYU.

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

Last Friday, our Sorelle Voce performed at the BYU Women's Chorus Festival at BYU (Sorelle Voce is our auditioned, select women's ensemble.). There were 8 choirs involved in the festival. Our ladies were honored by the choral faculty of BYU and by the festival adjudicators as winners of the "Command Performance Award." Our ladies performed Schubert's "Psalm 23," a wordless, nonsense-syllable, Acappella piece entitled, "Voice Dance" and closed their set with a lush setting of the text from the Song of Solomon, "Set Me As A Seal Upon Your Heart."
