National Honor Society applications for the 2019-2020 school year are available in the Library for all current sophomore and junior students interested in becoming members. Minimum requirements for membership are a 3.75 cumulative GPA, and no NCs. Applications are due Friday, March 22nd at 3:00 pm.
The Science Olympiad team competed at SUU this weekend for our final competition before state. Our school medalled in 21 of the 23 different events and took first place! Our next competition will be held March 30th at the University of Utah where we will be defending our state title. Please congratulate the following students on their excellent performance. Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
Hopefully, I will be a newly returned missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will be starting my bachelors degree.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Running, hiking, photography, but anything where i'm surrounded by people.
I you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask them?
I would talk to my great Grandma Rachel, and ask her what she's grateful she did in her life.
The MMHS Debate team took first at the Region VIII tournament on Saturday, February 23rd. In the Congressional Debate event we had Lesley Bahena take 1st, Chase Cook take 2nd, and Canyon Rhatigan take 4th. In the Lincoln Douglas debate event we had Demetrius Morgan take 1st, Kali York take 3rd, and Jackson Baldwin take 4th. In the Original Oratory event we had Haylie Decker take 1st, Curtis Bringhurst take 2nd, and Nicholas Brewer take 4th. In the National Extemporaneous Speaking event we had Robert Hovanski take 1st. In the Impromptu Speaking event we had Hope Anderson take 3rd.
